International Day of Multilateralism & Diplomacy for Peace

Join us this International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace, as we amplify the voices of the future. This year, 2024, graduate students from many different countries—who study at Sciences Po Paris, the Graduate Institute and the University of Geneva—came to the UN Library & Archives Geneva to discuss and debate with UN officials about the evolution of international cooperation, and how multilateralism can help the world navigate its pressing challenges. The students used the platform to learn, express their views and voice their concern, and in this video they leave us with questions covering critical topics from human rights and AI to crisis management and youth involvement in global governance. UN Geneva Director-General, Tatiana Valovaya responds to these questions as she reflects on a changing world and the vital importance of strengthening multilateralism.
