Why?

1. To understand what people expect from leadership at all levels
2. To be aware of managerial approaches that undermine your leadership
3. To discover some of the benefits of deploying “Engaged Team Charters”

Join us for this Commons Night Masterclass focused on how we can lead and manage teams in new ways with professor and author Raphael H Cohen. According to studies, 65 per cent of employees say they would take a new boss over a pay raise. This is evidence of a need and an opportunity to question and transform the way we lead. Studies also show that employees who are engaged in their work provide up to 35 per cent increased productivity and profitability to an organization.*

How can we reach such a level of commitment and motivation in order to achieve excellence?
What is expected of today’s and tomorrow’s leaders? In this interactive and thought-provoking session, Raphael H Cohen will share why using power and traditional authority to manage teams cannot deliver such results, particularly with Generation Y employees who wish to be led and inspired rather than be managed in traditional ways. The session will address key leadership factors for obtaining “psychological ownership” and engagement from teams, including in the public sector such as the United Nations and other International Organisations. Participants can also engage with and ask questions to our speaker, who is a seasoned entrepreneur with experience in understanding the difference between leadership and management, and professor teaching
innovation, professional agility, and fair and caring leadership.

Prerequisites for attending: an open mind and... a good sense of humour!
