HiStories- The League of Nations Essentials - The History of the Palais des Nations

This HiStories episode brought us back to the time of the League of Nations to explore the history of the Palais des Nations. We retraced the construction of this iconic building, from the launch of the international architectural competition in 1926 to its transfer to the United Nations in 1946, displaying some archives preserved in the UN Library & Archives Geneva.

We also saw some 1930s architectural treasures of the Palais des Nations, as well as rooms which remain little known.

This session was part of our HiStories Series.
