Digital Diplomacy in practice: How knowledge sharing happens (and not) throughout the UN System

Digital Diplomacy in practice: How knowledge sharing happens (and not) throughout the UN System

How can we leverage best the wealth of digital knowledge on diplomacy and international relations in Geneva?

The DiploFoundation, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2022, recently launched its Geneva Digital Atlas and joined us the Commons to share their main findings. Check out our recorded session to learn what contributed to a better understanding of the potential of knowledge the UN is exposed to in Geneva, and how we can capitalize on it. We also explored the future of digital knowledge in diplomacy and finally, how to bring the theory into practice through connected digital knowledge.

The session covered:

The gap between the rhetoric of knowledge sharing and the actual reality based on data analysis
The interlinkages between International Geneva and local Geneva; and
How International Geneva is perceived in other diplomatic hubs.
