The Digitalization of Public Diplomacy

Explore our past event at the commons—an interactive discussion featuring author and academic Mr. Ilan Manor on the escalating digitalization of public diplomacy. Over the past decade, foreign ministries have embarked on endeavors such as launching virtual embassies, establishing a robust social media presence, developing smartphone applications, and even delving into coding. Despite these advancements, foreign ministries and their embassies worldwide grapple with substantial challenges when harnessing digital tools for diplomatic purposes.

During this engaging talk, Mr. Ilan Manor provided a new perspective through which to understand the impact of digital technologies on public diplomacy.
