The launch meeting of the META-UN conference, organised by "Flagship 2" and "HUM:Global" at the University of Copenhagen, took place on 6 and 7 February 2025 at the UN Library & Archives Geneva.
The aim of META-UN is to organise scientific and educational meetings between scientific experts, researchers and students of the 4EU+ university alliance, and relevant staff, agencies and institutions of the UN, in order to share new scientific and educational results, and to nurture research and educational ideas relevant to multilateralism.
The theme of this conference was "The United Nations: Looking Towards the Future. From history to the current and future challenges of global governance and law." The objective was to begin a dialogue about how researchers of the 4EU+ alliance can contribute to and engage with the United Nations, and to explore timely research and insights linked to multilateralism and global governance.
