At the UN Library & Archives Geneva, our mission is to support research on multilateralism and international understanding. Our diverse collections range from the archives documenting the history of modern multilateralism, to books, documents and more on the issues facing international cooperation today.

This online learning session will introduce users to an important online research tool for exploring our archival collections. The UN Archives Geneva platform gives online access to the fonds and collections that we manage at the Library & Archives. These collections include the archives of the United Nations in Geneva, the League of Nations (1919-1946), international peace movements (from 1870), and private papers. The platform gives users the possibility to search both the description of files or archival documents, as well as in the full text of digitized archival documents.

In this session, our archives team will:

- provide an overview on the 5 archives categories that are part of the UN Archives Geneva collections.
- highlight which documents are accessible online, and which must be consulted onsite in our reading room.
- an introduction on how to use and perform searches on the UN Archives Geneva Platform, and
- answer any questions you may have!
