Wednesday, November 20, 2019 - 15:30 to 17:00
Where:

This career talk session for interns across UN Geneva focuses on the question of redefining leadership today, and the impact of gender equality and inclusion on how leadership roles are seen and developed. This discussion comes as we continue to question and break stereotypes on gender in the workplace as well as in everyday life, with the aim of creating a world where gender will not determine a person’s role in any aspect of their lives, and their capacity to be a leader.

This event is held at the Knowledge and Learning Commons and led by the OCHA Interns Association. A panel of UN staff members will share their personal experiences and offer insights into the challenges and opportunities ahead for both women and men as we work towards equality.

Our panelists include: Mr. Francesco Pisano (Director, UN Library Geneva), Mr. Thomas Neufing (Chief Center for Learning & Multilingualism, HRMS), Ms. Ruth Blackshaw (Young UN Representative), and Ms. Saori Terada (Young UN Representative, UNHCR).

The audience will also interact with the panelists throughout the session, with the aim of having a diverse and inclusive conversation.
