UN Geneva Multilingualism Challenge

UN Geneva Multilingualism Challenge

In commemoration of the one-year milestone of the UN Geneva Multilingualism Challenge and in honor of the accomplishments of its participants, the Division of Conference Management (DCM) and the Centre for Learning and Multilingualism (CLM) hosted a Multilingualism Ceremony on September 30 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. During the event, the Director-General highlighted some of the most remarkable pledges made in three distinct categories – the most creative, ambitious, and impactful commitments.

As part of the ceremony's conclusion, several activities were organized, including quick placement tests aimed at assessing participants' proficiency levels in any of the six UN languages. The event, coinciding with the International Day of Translation, provided a platform for celebrating the significance of multilingualism.
