At the UN Library & Archives Geneva, we’re celebrating International Archives Week 2025 with a special online event in support of this year’s theme, #ArchivesAreAccessible: Archives for Everyone.
The UN Library & Archives Geneva houses a diverse and unique collection on the history of modern multilateralism, including the archives of the United Nations in Geneva, the League of Nations (1919-1946), international peace movements (from 1870), and private papers.
Join us on 3 June 2025 at 15:00 hrs Geneva CET, for an interactive and insightful session on how we are working to break physical and virtual barriers to accessing these archival collections, to ensure that they are available to all.
In this session, we’ll:
- introduce you to our collections, including the 5 categories of archives we hold
- walk you through a demo of the UN Archives Geneva platform, where many of the collections are fully accessible online; and
- reflect on the physical, financial, technical and other barriers that we are working to overcome to ensure access to our archival collections.
There will also be time to interact with our speakers and ask your questions. We look forward to seeing you there as we celebrate International Archives Week 2025!
