To mark the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, UN Geneva and the Geneva Graduate Institute invite you to a special event exploring the critical contribution of young people to global policy-making and multilateralism.
Following the adoption of the Pact for the Future and the Declaration on Future Generations at the Summit of the Future in September 2024, governments worldwide committed to investing in the meaningful inclusion of youth in the decisions and solutions that impact our world, and to addressing the needs of future generations in global policy-making. But what does genuine youth participation look like in practice? What structures and mechanisms can we develop to empower young people to participate fully in international decision-making processes? And how do we ensure that intergenerational equity remains central to policy design and implementation?
Join us as we delve into these vital questions through:
- Foresight presentations by students from the Graduate Institute, and
- An interactive debate featuring students, UN personnel, diplomats and other participants.
We look forward to seeing you there, and your participation as we work to build the multilateralism of the future!
