México y la Sociedad de Naciones a través de los archivos: enfoques complementarios / Mexico and the League of Nations through the archives: complementary approaches

¿Te interesa la historia diplomática de México y la historia de la Sociedad de Naciones? 

Ya seas investigador, estudiante, diplomático o miembro del personal de la ONU, la Biblioteca y Archivos de la ONU en Ginebra y el Acervo Histórico Diplomático de México, con la participación de la Misión Permanente de México ante la ONU y otros Organismos Internacionales con sede en Ginebra, ofrecen esta sesión para guiar tu labor de investigación. 

En el marco de la Semana Mundial de la Alfabetización Mediática e Informacional (24–31 de octubre), un momento para reflexionar sobre cómo accedemos, evaluamos y utilizamos la información de manera responsable, este evento invita a los participantes a desarrollar competencias críticas en alfabetización informacional y archivística. 

Descubrirás las colecciones documentales y bibliográficas de la Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores de México, así como los archivos digitalizados de la Sociedad de Naciones y la manera de consultarlos. 

La sesión destacará la riqueza y complementariedad de los fondos archivísticos de la Sociedad de Naciones y de los archivos diplomáticos de México. 

Asimismo, presentará el interés histórico y la complementariedad de estas colecciones, así como los resultados de una investigación sobre la historia de las relaciones internacionales de México utilizando estas fuentes archivísticas.

Are you interested in Mexican diplomatic history and the history of the League of Nations? 

Whether you are a researcher, student, diplomat, or UN staff member, the UN Library & Archives Geneva and the Mexican Historical Diplomatic Archives, with the participation of the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the UN in Geneva, is offering this session to guide your research journey. 

In the spirit of Global Media and Information Literacy Week (24–31 October), a time to reflect on how we access, evaluate, and use information responsibly, this event encourages participants to develop critical information and archival literacy skills. 

You will discover the documentary and bibliographic collections of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the digitized archives of the League of Nations and how to consult them. 

The session will highlight the richness and complementarity of the archival holdings of the League of Nations and Mexico’s diplomatic archives. 

It will present the historical interest and complementarity of these collections, as well as the results of research on the history of Mexico’s international relations using these archival sources.
