Why?

To better:

1. Understand the science of Resilience and Adaptability, and how to strengthen these two traits.

2. Understand the Pillars of Resilience, and come away with tools to build this resilience and support self-care and wellbeing.

Join us for this online session on Thursday 3 December at 4pm, led by the Staff Counsellor’s Office, HRMS at UN Geneva.

As the winter months and the holiday season are approaching, the uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic is increasing.

How can we manage these uncertain times? Our guest speaker, Dr. Alexina Mehta, from Canada will teach us the science of Resilience and Adaptability, and how to strengthen these two traits within yourself.

The session will also review several tools to help you navigate the uncertainty of the times we live in with greater ease and confidence.

The session will focus on the neurobiology of adaptation and resilience; the science of hope and its effect on resilience; and inspiration and lessons from those who have survived great challenges.

The pillars of resilience — which include self-awareness, understanding, self-care, beneficial relationships, purpose and impact — as well as comprehensive self-care tips to support well-being from around the world, will also be explored and shared. Leave this session feeling uplifted and with greater clarity on how to thrive and prevail amid uncertainty and beyond.

We welcome your engagement, participation and questions.

Hope to see you there!
